I saw that on the news yesterday. I have a theory that since this business got past the Vieux Carre commission who are hard asses to begin with when it comes to preservation and codes and specifications, this guy doesn’t have much of a chance to thwart the city in making its money.
While they may be ugly, residents live primarily where there are no meters and I think the majority of residents don’t care - out of sight, out of mind.
If he does manage to get rid of them, more power to him.
