Food Radio

Is there any other town in the US so obsessed with food that it has a three-hour talk radio show dealing solely with local eating?

Tom Fitzmorris’ program 4p-7p M-F on WSMB (1350 AM) can be highly entertaining and (at least in my listening) stays away from food snobbery. It has been my only reason to actually switch on the AM dial anymore.

    I’m quite sure there’s not a comparable station that runs a food show during the prime rush hour time slot.

    I love Tom Fitzmorris! I was listening to him driving home one day and he was at Casablanca broadcasting and doing an “Eat Club.” Out of the blue he offered episode III tickets to anyone who came down to the restaurant. Needless to say i got ‘em and saw the movie 7:30 opening night. And I wasn’t even planning on going. I adore that man.

    You have got to be kidding…someone actually enjoys a 3 hour infomercial for restaurants that pay this guy to eat? WC Fields was right, a sucker is born every minute
