Here we go again….

Looks like it’s time for more moaning and gnashing of teeth with another hurricane rumored to be headed this way. Or at least that’s what the latest computer models indicate, though these will likely be adjusted a bit as we go.

Last time this happened, with Tropical Storm Cindy, things got a bit rougher than expected for something so, um, relatively small. We were without power for three days, and we were luckier than some.
As it is, we’ll keep up with things come about Sunday. For now, it’s fun to watch all the local officials start spinning circles about when to ordre evacuations and so forth. The locals who plan to stay will be staking out their parking spaces on neutral ground to get six inches above any rising water and, well, alcohol sales will increase. Ya gotta be prepared.

We’ve got a more than adequate generator at the house, so if we wind up staying, we’ll be able to keep posting.
