I want to try to file for unemployment, (which I have never done) in Florida. I was a nurse in New Orleans and my hospital is under water. Can ayone tell me if it is possible to apply in FLA? I was a new employee but working as a nurse prior to this in New Orleans. I am of course going to look for a job but don’t have a FLA license and that will take time!

I found a good web site, http://www.digitalglobe.com that shows satellite images from yesterday. I can actually see my car in a locked lot and my house, in the FQ, amazing! No water in the majority of the FQ.

I am so very angry at this administration and the open racism that is being displayed by our government and so called leader. If this was any other area where there lighter complexion people lived, help would have not been a question, well organized, and immediate. But because this involved mostly African-Americans, there was nothing done immediately and the only reports the media wanted to display was the negative and anything else to make the situation worse. You know, how dumb can this administration and media be!! To be objective is one thing and patronizing is another and both we don’t want. Just take time to put yourself in this situation, just one short thought. You would steal for shoes, water, food, boat, clothes and another items to LIVE. In any society there are people who may have an elevator that stops short but don’t demoralize the many who just want to live. Common sense and natural human instinct does not come in any color….To this administration and many others who have the same view… God does take care of His own!!!!!
