Treme Turn-Around

Treme%20Project%20001.jpg

Today I helped my neighbor, who is part of the Public Health Program at Tulane with setting up a foodbank in Treme at the St. Augustine Church. She is my neighbor uptown and this project helps my neighbors downtown. I was
beginnning a renovation project in Treme, however my house didn’t make it through the storm. My bio has a link to
that particular story but the great thing is that my neighbor is involved in helping those folks over there now and
also the French have adopted the Treme as the neighborhood they will be focusing on with their assistance. It was a very risky place for a while but now I hope the extra support will help revitalize it and tear it from the hands of the criminal element who had many residents living in fear.

The foodbank will open on Monday !

One of the great positives about where we are right now is the cooperative spirit.

God, I hope that is, above all else, the legacy of all this shit.
