Cela Etait Levee!

Thank you, one and all, for coming out to support the start of Carnival parade season with a bang! It was lovely second-lining to the Paulin Bros. ensemble, to see our city again in this way and to hand you strands of colorful plastic spheres, cups, toys and other symbols of our strong belief that we can and should go on.

This - the camaraderie, the joy, the satire, the polite boisterousness and the love - doesn’t happen everywhere. New Orleans is worth our effort if only to save a way of life that remains unimitable.

Happy Mardi Gras time to everyone! Hope all of the parades are as packed as Krewe du Vieux with riders and attendees. Joie!
