WTF??

In a previous post I talked about buying a house and it not being stressful - I was wrong. It sucks and not for the faint at heart. Very frustrating. Guess I’m getting a little taste of the kind of frustration and stress most people have been living with for months now. Just a little taste mind you.

And I didn’t find my “Mardi Gras Moment” this year. It just eluded me the whole time. But, even though Mardi Gras is over, I’m still hopeful I’ll find it. Maybe it got hung up in a tree on St. Charles or something. I’ll just keep looking.

Now I’m out in L. A. (calif) - long flight and no fun to be had with all this work to do.

Quite a nice little life I’ve fashioned for myself. However this post may read, I don’t feel sorry for myself at all. I really don’t have anything to complain about. Still, the only things I can think to write sound suspiciously like complaints. That’s why I haven’t been posting much lately…well, and the drunkenness didn’t exactly make me more prolific.

While you’re in Los Angeles, remind them to give us LA back

    and reinstate their decimals.

    It’s such a small gesture.

Has buying a house in NOLA always been this much fun? I only lived there as a renter in the past, and I just spent a couple of the worst days of my life trying to get through the closing on our new Mid-City digs.

I know its apres le deluge, but still. I have been steeling myself for coming home and getting a license and plates for my car and all the other fun I anticipate, but I somehow thought the closing wouldn’t rate up there with a two day trip to DMV.
