Curious item of the day

If I’m not mistaken, this was, at one point in time, a van. Somehow it appeared on the sidewalk along North Broad St. betwixt Conti & Lafitte streets recently.

I wish vans could talk. This one would have a good story, I’m sure.

Looking good, New Orleans, looking good.

Hey! I took a picture of that van while it was still under the rubble! Crazy!! It was during Mardi Gras & we stopped there to check on a food & water station for the animals (couldn’t find it anywhere) but the rent-a-center (the gutted / open bldg) used to back up to a garage (possibly storage for the hair supply place - judging by all the brand new crimpers and hairbrushes and stuff that were strewn throughout the rubble) and the van was parked in there when all the - now gone - bricks fell in on it.

    Crazy!!!

Ok heres what ya do , ya get the vin number off the vehicle,( have your cops do it), enter it into your DMV database,(providing you have one).Up pops the name of the owner, what ya do than is remove it than send them the disposal bill.Plus interest and fees for registration. The city makes money ,so does the state, and your on your way to recovery..do this about 10 thousand times and ya have a cleanup.
