Bustout Burlesque

I hear this show has been around for a while but I just got out to see it
last night at Tipitina’s. I
have been quite a fan of burlesque since my Mother and Father were in a show
band and my Mother did the fan dance once upon a time. This I am sad to say was
my first time in the audience to actually watch a burlesque show. It was fun,
sexy and a little funny.

Bustout Burlesque is an a
wonderful show that is succeeding in keeping an entertaining art form alive.
This show fits perfectly in New Orleans, it seems to go with the traditional,
old time feel of the city.  If you haven’t seen it I highly recommend it
and if you have I hear the lineup changes regularly so maybe it is time to check
it out one more time.

I haven’t seen this particular show, though I’ve read several great things about it and I’d like to go.

I remember being in college and learning the thick and heavy lines between burlesque and a strip joint. I’m glad this art form is being kept alive.

Thanks for the post and the links.
