oysters: get ‘em while they’re not hot!

I highly recommend visiting Casamento’s before next Saturday when they close for the end of oyster season. If you don’t like oysters, go anyway. I didn’t like oysters either until I was shown the light (which glared off of the tiled walls) at Casamento’s a few months ago.
Casamentos is located at 4330 Magazine Street, right next to Ms. Mae’s.
Their hours are:
Tuesday - Saturday 11-2 for lunch
Thurs - Saturday 5:30 - 9 for dinner
Saturday May 27 they will close their doors for the season after the lunch shift.
Go now. Eat oysters. Let them make your brain tingle. Giggle a lot. Savor them until about a week or so after Labor day when you can eat them again. (History holds that oysters should only be eaten in months with R’s in them - probably because back in the day they didn’t have super refridgeration methods. Who knows. In any case, Casamento’s is old-school about their oyster season and we must respect the wacky ways of our elders).
