like a log on the river

Spending time in the great outdoors is a joy of summer that is hard to come by these days, what with the coastlines surrounding our fare city having been destroyed. Hence, I would like to share my secret to summertime fun: tubing. If you head up to the Bogue Chitto you can rent a canoe or tube from Wayne’s World and they will drive you to a drop-off for a 2 or 4 hour trip so that you end up back at your car. If you go, make sure to take a large cooler and fill it with a nice mix of beverages and snacks. I recommend something like Steel Reserve 211 and Natural Light, or Red Dog and Milwaukee’s Best Light (something for both the gentlemen and the ladies). Then grab some buddies, or just whomever you have wanted to see in a state of near-nudity, and get on the tube, man!
