Prince of Perversion
Last night Scott (my husband) and I had the privilege (?) of attending the Prince of Perversion Ball. We also had the privilege of having our car towed, but that is another story.
It just so happens that Scott’s best friend’s boyfriend is this years Prince of Perversion and so we were treated to the whole show. I did not bring my camera as to keep the innocents anonymity however it was a fascinating experience.
I have been to my share of fancy clothing optional parties but I have never been to one of a purely homosexual orientation and this puts a completely new spin on things. The costumes were not as flamboyant as I was hoping to see but there was the bunny mask S & M couple and the man with nothing on but a thong with a dildo attached to a spring which gaily (lol) bounced around all night and due to that as well as the sea of other scantily clad people milling around I was highly entertained.
Let me also mention the drag show featuring Madam Adam who can actually sing. The back up band may have been playing air piano and a paper tube spray painted gold to serve as an air clarinet, but the drag queen could sing.
I am looking forward to Sunday, which is when we hit the streets in search of other fancily dressed men as well as another friend of ours who promises to be in full womanly fashion. If any city in America could host a gathering like Southern Decadence, it is New Orleans. As for me, I am having some of the best people watching experiences since Mardi Gras.
