Who Let the Blogs Out?

Today is the start of a new era in New Orleans. Yes, we as a citizenry have joined together for a show of unity in the love of the New Orleans Saints. I think the pep rally yesterday on the steps of City Hall proved that we have a winning team and everyone is behind our boys in black and gold. I didn’t see very many Saints jerseys though; I guess everyone was waiting to wear them on Saturday.

Why didn’t they march to the Superdome? It was nice to see the members of local government handing over the microphone to the fans for once so we could show our support to the team. We owe a lot to those guys; they give us hope when we are down.
I was amazed at the fact that people were yelling and screaming and chanting about the racial diversity of the team and how they accomplished so much by working together. Not many N.F.L. teams can say that.

Someone told me that the speakers at the pep rally were season ticket holders and they were picked out of a hat when they signed up at Winn Dixie. That must have been pretty cool. I wonder who is going to be in the punt, pass, kick contest at halftime? I do want to one of those “ENOUGH” t-shirts. They are pretty cool. It must have something to do with a team catch phrase or something. I saw the fans chanting “enough”! I guess it is this years “Who let the dogs out?” or “CHA-CHING”.

Well, I’ll be watching the game with the rest of the city tomorrow night. I hope you have a good time. I’ll see you at next weeks pep rally (hopefully at the Dome this time) when we play the Seahawks. Geaux Saints!

The end
