I am pumped! The Saints win 27-24! GEAUX SAINTS!

I had to put an entry on my blog (http://www.anniemayhem.com/cgi-bin/wordpress/?p=870) about it all. I’m not superstitious, but I’m gonna do the same sort of things I did today for next week’s game. Why tempt fate? :-)

It’s official…with the Bears beating the Seahawks the New Orleans Saints will be traveling to up to Chi-town to play the Chicago Bears next Sunday at 2pm EST (1pm CST). Ironically both NFC games this weekend ended up with identical scores of 27-24.

why do we cheer for tom benson? he tried to screw us over a year ago. also, i love the saints too, but whats up with the bandwagon? two years ago the people of the n.o. didn’t give a crap about the saints. we are a fairweather city in everyway. i thought this city was supposed to have soul, it’s easy to love a winner but you still gotta show up for the bad years which is why i’ve resolved to cheer silently this year, no bush jersey, no who-dat cd in my car just genuine new olreans spirit. which the saints revived in us after the storm, the question is, can we keep it through the bad years too

Bandwagon? Not me. I’ve been rooting for the Saints through thick and thin since I was a little kid. My Dad First took us (my brother and I) to Saints games back in the 70’s back when Archie Manning was QB. There are other teams in the NFL I like, but none that I root for like the Saints.

Also I don’t root for team OWNERS, I root for the TEAM.

I have been a fan since I moved to NO in ‘95. I have been living in Chicago for the past 5 years, but have stayed a die-hard saints fan all the way. It is going to be sweet to be up here in Chicago when the Saints come marching in and shut all these bears fans up!

Dude, I’ve always rooted for the Saints. More so now that I’m out of town than before when I lived there and took it for granted; watching their games from the local bar is one of my lifelines.

Jack–give the Bears fans hell for us! The Saints’ll need all the NOLA noise you can make!

    (Chanting to self: Saints… Superbowl… Saints… in the Superbowl…)

Dang. Stupid double-post. Sorry, my computer went into Hibernation while it was uploading and I made the mistake of hitting Refresh.

Have to comment on the Tom Benson thing. The man gets no cheers from me. From me he gets a big fat raspberry and a TOLD YOU SO! I’ve seen a few post-Katrina refrigerators marked that their contents were reserved for him, so I can’t imagine I’m alone in this.

I’ve backed the Saints for 8 years now. Tom Benson, however, can drop off the face of the earth. I’m wound up about this possible Super Bowl, let me tell you. And even though I’m trapped in ATL, I’ll wear my Saints cap proudly, even if they don’t go all the way.
