good news for Louisiana
Here is an article from today’s Times-Pic about a steel plant that may come to the State. I thnk this will be great for the people of St. James Parish (maybe they won’t write such high speeding tickets once they have another significant source of income). I just really wish that NOLA would jump on the business-friendly bandwagon. Now, I realize that a giant steel plant isn’t going to come to the CBD, but it would be nice to see some new (and old) businesses pop up around the city for sure. New businesses are allured to an area by tax incentives and by a lack of red tape. Yes, I said a ‘lack of red tape’ not ’so much red tape that you can stand in a line at city hall for 2 hours and see nothing but red’. Really, it is disgusting how the city has been treating small, large, new and old business owners and if there were something I could do about it, I would.

Now if we can just keep the Tulane Law Center out of it. They submarined the last plant in the same place.
