this could be good. The Mystic Knights of the Mau Mau is a sort of social club that aims to preserve culture and heritage by digging up blues and rock legends that somehow slipped through the cracks of our memories and time and puts on a show once a year. Its called the Ponderosa Stomp and this year it is at the House of Blues. It goes all night long and if you look at the lineup of folks and read their bios, you will be blown away by the tour de force that changed the musical landscape forever. Yes, it is at the House of Blues. But, if you have no interest in actually going to Jazz Fest, this would be a great event that gives you the heritage without the port-o-potties, blazing sun with no shade, and old men wearing shorts and sandals to show off their pasty legs and icky toes (blech!).
