Y’know….

….there was a day when this kinda thing made a difference. When the moral character of a politician meant something. When we could see this kinda thing and stand up and express our outrage and throw this hypocritical SOB out of….

wait a minute.

It’ll be interesting to watch.

It’s always the “family values” guys that are giving out mouth hugs to other guys, going to hookers, or fondling little boys. Their constituency is the same way which is why this isn’t enough to put him out of office. Won’t hurt him a bit actually.

Just look at Rudy’s record of infidelity…and he’s as likely as not to be the next president. I mean, if we (as a city) haven’t burnt down ol’ Billy Jefferson’s uptown home to show our disapproval or rioted outside of City Hall to demand crime be addressed, then is there really anything that will get the people of this city on their feet? This city is a battered wife: everyone feels sorry for it but knows it won’t do anything to help itself.

And hey, say what you want about China, but they know how to handle shit when someone in office does something fucked up.

You take over a job where the guy before you got hanged for doing something stupid you’re really going to think long and hard about everything you do.

    lol

Some, uh, “associates” of mine are busy scripting reverse phone number lookups and then comparing that to Nexus – should see a whole, big, ugly, list of names in a couple of days.

And I was only half serious about the China thing…lol

I gotta say, this story makes me love LA and NOLA all the more. It’s just so darn old fashioned: crooked, hypocritical US senator, prostitution, sex, hubris, madams on Canal Street … it’s just so literary.

Well, except for the fact that Republican miscreants cause ill, death, despair, and play with people’s lives. But still. Where’s the Blaze Starr figure is what I want to know.
