Bohn zones out

Apostrophes are for possessives, not purals, ladies.

First Jackie Clarkson, now the Bohn-heads. Perhaps there’s a reason I’ve never bought anything from that dealership. Will someone please send them a grammar handbook–or a proofreader who graduated from fourth grade?

P.S. Sorry for the crappy iPhone shot. I was too stunned to grab a real camera. But still: you get the picture.

What is really sad are the number of people who will not even realize it is incorrect.

Technically it’s an error of spelling, not grammar. Another example would be a proper name typed all lower case.

What’s even sadder is that someone was educated enough to know how to put together this ad and type the copy, but still too stupid and/or unread to know that plural words do not need apostrophes.

Hmmm. Not entirely sure I agree, English Teacher. Technically, “Tundra’s” is misspelled in this instance, but only because the copywriter has an imperfect understanding of English grammar. Either way, someone ought to hand the poor schmuck a copy of EATS, SHOOTS, AND LEAVES.
