This is melting my brain

Things I have learned today:
- There are 34 Cafe Du Monde locations in Japan.
- Some are “A-Type”
- Some are “B-Type”
- All of them serve Hot Dogs. A-Type hot dogs look similar to American hot dogs, B-Type hot dogs look a little strange.
- “Gombo soup” is served on the A-type menu.
- You can also get Gratin.
I am exasperated. Not because our treasured and storied local coffee stand has been sold and mass-marketed to the Japanese, but because the Japanese version looks way, way better.

That gratin looks pretty good. Not too sure about lettuce on hot dogs, though.
Oh tits. Can they please open one here in HK? And one that’s not a total rip-off, like the one in Shanghai. THANKS. :O
My next short trip is so to Tokyo.
When I moved up to Tokyo in 1995, I was on my own and completely overwhelmed. As I walked around the corner from my work, I discovered a Cafe du Monde. As a native New Orleanian, I nearly cried as I settled in to enjoy precious coffee.
Check the garmel Beignets!
