CNN nazis.
we checked into the Omni on thursday. i advised them i was 'experienced' in hurricane survival, an avid camper, brought my own survival necessities to stay there in their structurally sound hotel: 2 foot stone walls, 7th floor, etc. they advised me services would stop in the event of a hit. (Duh!) so we stocked up on food, water, and battery powered tv's, radios, CB's. then out of the blue, on saturday morning they slid notes under our doors telling us to get out! i put up a bit of a fuss since they initially agreed. i didn't want to get arrested for causing a stink, so reluctantly we got our gear and while walking out the door, discovered they were throwing us out so CNN and the on-air network morons could have our room. i was furious. as if THOSE news 'personalities' knew more about New Orleans or hurricane survival than me. LOL
i wanted SO bad to deflate all the tires on their satellite vans.
i never watch CNN. bozos extrodinare. luckily our CBS affiliate here in Houston carried WWL channel 4's non-stop coverage of the hurricane that didn't happen...one of those test FEMA gigs. also, WDSU channel 6 internet coverage is incredible.
y'all stay safe over there in Nawlins. it's my "home away from home".
