Well, it wasn't torn down today, I wonder if the rain has delayed it but I am sure it will be gone any day now. I am glad you saw the post and it's relative to someone out there. I didn't know if it was news to anyone but me. I didn't know the theater was owned by the same people. Thanks for that information. I'd like to see that theater sold and put back into commerce since it is of good construction and has some historical value unlike this slab/store. Thanks for your comment! Nice job on your signage over there at the Palms, it's cute in an area in much need of cuteness.

WOW! I was so happy to hear this news. We own the Crescent Palms Motel, www.crescentpalmsmotel.com right around the corner at 3923 Martin L. King at S. Broad. We never thought we would see this day where they would Demo this eyesore. They are also going to demo the old Movie Theatre at 3943 Thalia Street which is owned by the same person. This will open up this corner and hopefully we will have a great business go there to up-lift this area of town. Thanks Laureen for posting this so quickly, I'm glad to know I'm not the only Citizens staying on top of things in New Orleans!!! Michael D.
