<description>That is one of the charms of New Orleans. It&#039;s a small town that just happens to have lots of people. My husband and I have been coming to NOLA since our honeymoon almost 28 years ago and we are totally captivated by the quirky southern charm of this beautiful city. We were there just before Katrina hit and grieved over what we watched unfold over the next few days and weeks. We defended the city when people said it shouldn&#039;t be rebuilt. We gave up our plans to celebrate our 25th anniversary in Europe in order to spend our tourist dollars in New Orleans instead. We return twice a year and dream of living there one day. And we try not to be too envious of those who are already there.
