Laureen Lentz grew up in Northern Illinois and moved to New Orleans in 1995 after a few years in Kansas City, Mo. where she worked managing bookstores. After a few years at Loyola's Law Library, Laureen moved to Washington D.C. and completed her bachelor's degree in foreign languages and while working at a global law firm library earned her Masters in Library and Information Science from Catholic University. She returned to New Orleans in May of 2005 intent on renovating a house in the Treme neighborhood which was destroyed during Katrina. Some people say they love New Orleans, but Laureen likes to say, "New Orleans loves me."
