Laureen Lentz grew up in Northern Illinois and moved to New Orleans in 1995 after a few years in Kansas City, Mo. where she worked managing bookstores. After a few years at Loyola's Law Library, Laureen moved to Washington D.C. and completed her bachelor's degree in foreign languages and while working at a global law firm library earned her Masters in Library and Information Science from Catholic University. She returned to New Orleans in May of 2005 intent on renovating a house in the Treme neighborhood which was destroyed during Katrina. Since Katrina, Laureen has put her local knowledge of the city to work here documenting daily life in New Orleans and will graduate from Loyola University's College of Law in 2013. Some people say they love New Orleans, but Laureen likes to say, "New Orleans loves me."
